Enneagram

The future is not some place we are going,
but one we are creating.

What is the Enneagram?

The Enneagram identifies nine personality styles, helping us understand the motivations embedded in our behavior. The symbol itself is centuries old, used first in eastern spiritual practices. It was introduced into western culture by George Gurdjieff in the 1920s and its traditional wisdom has been augmented with insights from modern psychology.

The Enneagram illuminates patterns that keep us engaging in behaviors that don’t work and describes in detail the ways in which we veer away from our authentic self. Most importantly, the Enneagram provides a clear map back to our true nature.

Why work with the Enneagram?

Our habitual patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving hinder a more natural and appropriate response to what arises in our lives.  As we become more aware of these patterns, we can start gradually unraveling the habits that keep us stuck. The Enneagram articulates these patterns and points us to our true self, our strengths and gifts. By seeing how our actions and behaviors undermine what we truly want and understanding what is possible for us, we are able to create a clear pathway forward.

My Enneagram Experience:

I have been studying and working with the Enneagram for over twenty-five years. I am accredited by the International Enneagram Association and am a graduate of the Deep Coaching Institute, which incorporates the Enneagram into Life Coaching. Beyond my work with individuals, I also teach the Enneagram to groups, through single classes and as part of a series.
